  • Type of Learning (Bloom’s Taxonomy): if students are experiencing an infographic, the level might be “Understand” as they review the infographic and add to their knowledge on a subject.  The level jumps to “Create” if they are actually making the infographic to organize and share their understanding with others.
  • Type of Learning experience (Dale’s Cone of Experience): If students are viewing an infographic created by the instructor, it probably fits into the “Demonstration” areas of the Cone.  But, if students are creating with Infogram, then the level changes to at least “Contrived Experiences” if they are creating something for a case study or “Direct, purposeful experience” if they are sharing information about content in the course or real-life information that they have researched.
  • Integration of tool for teaching and learning:
  • Infogram provides the ability to create interactive infographics to share information on a topic in an appealing way.  There are several templates and maps available to choose from for sharing statistics, facts, and images in a cohesive manner.  Instructors can use Infogram to create summaries of the content the class has been learning, or overviews of topics.  Students can use them to report on topics the have researched, summarize what they have learned, and provide review opportunities to their classmates. Completed infographics can be easily shared with others either within Infogram or as downloaded items that are posted in learning management systems, etc. The templates can serve as guides for students or instructors who are newer to creating infographics, or more experienced users can use the tool for freeform infographics that meet their particular needs.
